•  What is a MoContee eGift card?

       MoContee eGift cards are non-reloadable, non-refundable e-cards that we sell to our MoContee.Com friends. Our e-cards can only be

        used in our store.

• How is the MoContee eGift card activated?

        The card is automatically activated at the time of purchase.

​

• What kind of payments can I use to purchase a MoContee eGift Card?

       Any of the payment methods listed at checkout, which includes most major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay etc.

​

• When does the MoContee eGift card expire?

       Our card expires after 12 months.

​

• Does MoContee.Com require Address Verification Service (AVS) before use of my MoContee eGift card?

,       No, but if there is any issue when using the card, please contact us.

• Is customer service available for my MoContee eGift card?

• What if my transaction amount exceeds my available MoContee eGift card balance?

       In such cases, the system requests authorization to apply the amount on the card to your balance. Another payment method is

       then requested to  offset your remaining balance!

• Can I make a deliberate partial payment with my MoContee eGift card; for example, may I select to only use $75 from my MoContee eGift Card towards my purchase of $100, & pay my remaining $25 balance with my debit or credit card?

       ​No, the option for “deliberate split-tender” is not available at this time. Split-tender only works in the scenario described above.

• Can my MoContee eGift card be combined with coupons/ discounts from your store?

       Yes! The MoContee eGift can be combined the same as credit or debit transactions in our store.​

​

• Can I use my MoContee eGift card to donate to any of your causes?

       No, that option is not available at this time.

​

• Can I get my money back after purchasing the MoContee eGift card?

       No, once the card is purchased, it cannot be refunded or exchanged, as the MoContee eGift card is provided to us through a third-party.​

​

• What if I purchase items with my MoContee eGift card & I need a Refund or Exchange for the items I purchased?

       An MoContee eGift card may not be exchanged, refunded, or redeemed for its cash value. If, however, you used your MoContee eGift card to   

       purchase items and would like to request an exchange or refund for the items you purchased, (not for the MoContee eGift Card), please 

       visit the Shipping & Returns page for additional information.

• I know there are funds on my MoContee eGift card, but it keeps saying "No Funds Available" or some other error message! What do I do?

• How can I check my MoContee eGift card balance?

       The remaining balance will be displayed during the checkout process.

• Is Cash-Back available with my MoContee eGift card? / How do I retrieve cash using my MoContee eGift card at ATMs?

       No, cash-back is not available, and you may not retrieve cash from the ATM with an MoContee eGift card at this time. The MoContee eGift card is not a physical card and it can only be used in our store..

• Can my MoContee eGift card be re-filled?

       No. Once the balance is zeroed-out one must purchase another card.​

​

• Can my MoContee eGift card balance be redeemed for cash?

​       Not at this time, but the card is good for 12 long months, so you have lots of time to redeem awesome Afrocentric merchandise!

• Can my MoContee eGift card be personalized, therefore, replace the MoContee logo & information with information I select?

       The MoContee eGift card is not a physical card. It is delivered by email free of charge except when it is requested that we mail a

       printout to a specific address or person. You must email us before purchasing the card! There will be a $3 - $6 charge to mail the card.

• Can my MoContee eGift card balance be transferred to another person, another MoContee eGift card that is mine, or can I change my name and billing information on my MoContee eGift card after purchase?

       Not at this time, but we hope to add these features in the future.​

• Can my MoContee eGift card be purchased for a different amount than you are offering?

       Yes! Simply select the other amount option or reach out to us through our Contact Us page.

• What happens if my MoContee eGift card information is lost, stolen, or used without my authorization?

       Please first read the "Financial Indemnity" clause on our Terms & Conditions page. The cardholder must immediately report the incident to our customer service team by phone & email. (Both reporting methods are

       required! There needs to be an electronic   record of the time the incident is reported!) The proper procedure would be to call us immediately! Whether you speak to a live customer service           

       representative or leave a voicemail, send us an email upon ending the call!

       Report lost/stolen card by phone or email, including:

• Time of incident

• Time of report

• Your name

• Email

• Card balance

• Date of purchase

       A replacement card will be issued if you are not reporting unauthorized usage. However, if you are reporting unauthorized usage, a lost-or-stolen fee of $15.00 will be assessed for an investigation and a stop-payment

       intercept. In addition, there will be a standard one-time fee of $8.00 to replace the card, with or without unauthorized usage. Please note that these fees will be charged even if they exceed the balance remaining on

       the card.

 

​       You do have the option of forfeiting the card, therefore, not request that we undertake an investigation, start stop-payment

       procedures, or issue a new card. In that case, you will not be charged.

​

       The lost-or-stolen fee is waived if one simply misplaced the card or accidentally discarded it, & one is not reporting any

       unauthorized usage, requiring an investigation. One is, however, still expected to pay the $8.00 card replacement fee, if one is

       simply requesting a new card for any. reason. The balance from the old card will be transferred to the new card, less the $15 fee. Unfortunately, we are not   

       responsible for and cannot reimburse monies lost due to unauthorized usage. Please be sure to carefully read our entire Terms & Conditions

• What other fees are associated with my MoContee eGift card?

       There are no transaction fees. However, there is a $4.00 inactivity fee which is assessed for every 30 days of inactivity, a $15

       lost-or-stolen card fee if you report your card lost or stolen and require an investigation or a card cancellation, an $8 card

       replacement fee to reestablish your card and, a $5 - $10 charge if you request a card be mailed to a specific address or person.
